Welcome to CONS 451

Conservation 451 is a 15-credit integrated field course offered during the fall semester at UBC Faculty of Forestry. Students in the Science and Management major of the Natural Resources Conservation (NRC) program are required to take this course in the fourth year.

In the field school, students engage in field research in three different ecosystems, employing skills that they have learned in the undergraduate program to address conservation issues. Students will also receive advance training in field methods that are used by practitioners to study ecosystems, as well as analytical methods used to address hypotheses.
